Richwood Place is the southwestern most neighborhood in the Neartown district of Houston, Texas.  The neighborhood contains a diverse mix of single family homes, town homes, apartments, businesses, retail, and even includes a small city park (Ervin Chew Park).

Neartown

The Richwood Place Civic Association is part of the Neartown Civic Association.

The Neartown “super neighborhood” was established in 1963. However, parts of the area, known as Montrose, have a much longer history.  Montrose was originally established as a planned community 1911, growing the suburbs of Houston to the southwest.  Today, Montrose and Neartown are synonymous terms to describe our wonderful, eclectic part of the city.
